Man Up and Educate began in 2018, it was inspired by my father, Vince Ford Sr. He would always tell us “you better man up sweetie”. My goal with this program is to deconstruct the unhealthy norms that society has defined masculinity by. I believe young men everywhere should know what it means to serve their community and lead with responsibility while remaining accountable no matter the circumstance.
We serve young men in Columbus by offering them a 13-week mentoring curriculum that helps them develop a high sense of social emotional learning.
We also provide transformative leadership development training, cultural awareness training and de-escalation training in the workplace. Our goal is to empower leaders to build teams with synergy, equity, and a collaborative spirit.
